Our client, Aflac Re Bermuda, is seeking candidates for the role of Director, ALM & Modeling. This opportunity leads a fast-growing actuarial modeling team supporting pricing, valuation, reporting, asset liability management, capital management, and other actuarial analyses. The role also oversees Aflac Re models in MG ALFA and related actuarial models, while delivering analytics to support profitability analysis, ALM management, and broader business needs. Additionally, this role supports the Chief Actuary by delivering ALM and other ad hoc analytics, including analysis related to Aflac Re’s asset and hedging strategy. The successful candidate will also liaise with key functions across Aflac—including Investments, Risk, Legal, Accounting, US GAAP Valuation, and Aflac Japan—as well as with external service providers and consultants involved in the modeling life cycle. Key Responsibilities: Lead model development, implementation, process automation, design, and documentation to support pricing, valuation, and other key actuarial functions. Lead the development of tools and analytics to support hedging and ALM strategy. Partner with the Pricing Actuary to support reinsurance pricing design and supporting analytics. Partner with the Valuation Actuary to support valuation processes, and regulatory and ad hoc stress testing for analysis and reporting. Support model risk management, model documentation, model validation, and model governance responsibilities.
