The Reinsurance Technical Accountant is responsible for managing the financial and accounting aspects of reinsurance treaties to ensure the accurate and timely processing and reporting of assumed and ceded balances for a Bermuda Class 3B multi-line reinsurer. The role supports complex treaty and facultative business across property, casualty, specialty, and retrocession lines, and requires strong collaboration, communication and coordination with underwriting, actuarial, ceded reinsurance, operations, and external auditors.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional designation preferred (CA, CPA, ACA, ACCA, CMA). 3+ years’ post-qualification technical accounting experience in P&C commercial reinsurance/insurance reporting under US GAAP and Bermuda regulatory requirements. Advanced proficiency Excel skills. Strong analytical, reconciliation, and problem-solving skills.
