Air Traffic Engineering Technician

This role supports the operation of a range of facilities, systems and equipment including but not limited to communication, navigation, surveillance; electronic; detection; display; meteorological; and information and communications technology equipment, by carrying out preventative and corrective maintenance services. Also evaluates, troubleshoots, repairs, installs, modifies, commissions and de-commissions equipment as required. Duties include but are not limited to: Conducting daily inspections, performance tests, and maintenance activities for equipment and systems. Reporting unusual occurrences or difficulties to the Maintenance Coordinator. Enforcing safety protocols and maintaining a clean, hazard-free work area. Assisting with on-the-job training programs. Keeping the Maintenance Coordinator informed of unserviceable equipment, maintenance challenges, and spare parts requirements. Completing installations of systems, equipment, and data processing tools. Ensuring all ATE equipment operates to the satisfaction of its users.

Requirements

An Associate Degree or a City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma (or an equivalent recognized qualification) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. A valid Driver's License (light truck /manual). A minimum of two years of recent and relevant experience. Experience working in the aviation industry and in ILS, RADAR and or VOR/DME systems, is preferred.
