We are looking for a motivated Technical Support Analyst (Tier 1/2) to join our IT team. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, this hands-on role focuses on desktop support, system maintenance, and day-to-day IT operations. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in troubleshooting Windows desktop environments and LAN/WAN device support, with a desire to grow their technical expertise. This role offers both growth and challenges, with opportunities to gain exposure to advanced systems and receive training as needed.
Responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Provide Tier 1/2 technical support to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
Install, configure, and maintain desktop systems, peripherals, and applications (Windows 10/11).
Assist with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) management, including deployment and troubleshooting.
Perform routine maintenance, such as system updates, user account management, and basic server support.
Troubleshoot network connectivity, including switches, access points, and VPNs.
Support and troubleshoot Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Adobe Creative Cloud, and in-house systems.
Support Computer-to-Plate (CTP) systems (training provided).
Participate in patch management and system log reviews to ensure IT compliance.
Document and maintain accurate records for IT processes, inventory, and incident resolution.
Offer technical support during live events & meetings, ensuring smooth operation of AV setups
Perform physical tasks, such as lifting equipment (up to 50 pounds) and brief ladder climbing for installations.
Collaborate with senior IT staff on projects and receive training on advanced systems.
Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,
Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
2-3 years of IT support experience in a professional environment.
Familiarity with Windows Server environments and virtualization platforms (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) is a plus.
Exposure to VDI environments and related technologies.
Certifications (2 Desirable):
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, ITIL V4, or equivalent certifications.
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (Windows 10/11).
Certifications in cloud, security, or virtualization (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, VMware VCTA, CEH).
Proficiency in Windows 10/11 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of Windows Server environments and Active Directory.
Familiarity with supporting cloud-based systems and LAN/ WAN networks.
Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
Enthusiasm for learning new technologies through hands-on training.
Must be able to work weekends, and unsocial hours and occasionally on public holidays
