We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment. Under the leadership of the Technology Manager, the Senior Infrastructure & Security Specialist will provide strategic leadership for the Bermuda Hospitals Board (BHB) and its affiliates, regarding technology systems. This role involves validating technology recommendations, developing disaster avoidance plans, and ensuring that the systems of the Bermuda Hospitals Board operate at peak performance.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline • MCSE or similar certification a plus • Possess 5+ years’ relevant technical and/or related experience serving in a similar capacity and in an environment with tasks of similar scope, complexity, and technical difficulty • Prior Healthcare industry experience working in acute care organizations is required • Strong, articulate and persuasive leader who can serve as an effective member of the company’s management team and who is able to communicate security-related concepts to a broad range of technical and non-technical staff. • Knowledge of IT Healthcare best practices related to infrastructure configuration and maintenance, system administration and documentation • Proficient with VMware and Windows 2003/08 operating systems, web applications, shell scripting • Experienced with business continuity planning, auditing, and risk management, as well as contract and vendor negotiationSalary
