Our Client, BAC Universal Electric, is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Systems Technician to join their dynamic team. As Bermuda's leading electrical contracting and supply company, they are looking for a motivated individual who will be responsible for the installation, support, and maintenance of Lenel security systems, including access control, video surveillance (CC TV), and intrusion solutions. This role involves analyzing hardware and software issues, providing both internal and external support, and delivering comprehensive training and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will also be responsible for integrating advanced control technologies and networked security solutions. Senior Systems Technician Duties & Responsibilities: System Integration & Installation: Install, configure, and maintain Lenel security systems and other associated technologies (CC TV, access control, and intrusion detection systems) Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Proactively engage with customers to diagnose and resolve system issues using phone, email, and remote tools; provide on-site support as needed Documentation & Software Maintenance: Maintain up-to-date documentation, and ensure the latest software applications and tools are in place Project Coordination: Collaborate with field technicians and project managers to deliver seamless integration and system upgrades. Ensure effective communication with customers and stakeholders throughout project execution Training & Instruction: Provide training and support to users, both internal and external, on system functionality and usage New Technology Integration: Assess and incorporate new security technologies, including advanced control systems and IP-based CC TV solutions, into existing infrastructure Tool Development & Innovation: Develop custom tools and software applications to enhance system performance and user experience Minimum Qualification, Experience & Skills: Minimum of 10 years' experience working with Lenel and low voltage security systems, including system configuration. Certified Lenel Master Technician preferred Demonstrated experience in control and CC TV systems integration Expertise with Remote Desktop Connections, TCP/IP, and basic networking Competency in SQL, Windows Server 2012/2016/2019, and other database technologies Lenel-OnGuard certification, including hardware and software Lenel Enterprise Certification and Lenel LNVR Certification In-depth knowledge of computer and networking systems Extensive understanding of data communications security protocols and system configurations Proficiency in installing, configuring, and monitoring security software to ensure system integrity Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail Analytical and problem-solving aptitude Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications

Requirements

Minimum of 10 years' experience working with Lenel and low voltage security systems, including system configuration.
