Community Support Worker (ID)

Under the supervision of the Multidisciplinary Intellectual Disability Team, the Community Support Worker will be expected to provide ongoing support, daily care and assistance to persons with intellectual disabilities, in various homes across the island. The homes consist of rest home environments, semi-independence and challenging behavior. The successful candidate will ensure that clients achieve their maximum potential and experience an excellent quality of life.

Requirements

High School Certificate, GED or equivalent. Nursing Assistant Certificate required with three years’ experience working with persons with Intellectual Disabilities. Those with less year’s will be considered. Must be registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council. Safety care Certificate and CPR required. Must be capable of safely operating approved lifting devices. Must have a current driver’s license.
