HOST/HOSTESS DIETARY AIDE - CASUAL FOOD SERVICES PATIENT DEPARTMENT BHB ensures the highest in quality health care through service excellence, education and leadership. We seek qualified, highly motivated, and experienced professionals to work in a supportive but demanding environment. Under the general supervision of the Food Service Supervisor, in conjunction with the practice of BHB's and Dietary Values and standards, the Food Service Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of patient meal delivery are being met. Key responsibilities include: Collects Patient new admission and diet changes listing and ensure that same day Lunch & Dinner menus are included in the day's menu distribution Distributes patient's menus Acute and General Wing wards. On time follow up with patient admissions & discharges breakfast, lunch & dinner experience (e.g. patient is unable to reach tray; they may have received a default breakfast meal, advise nursing if patient needs assistance with eating); take appropriate action where necessary During new patient visit confirm if the patient understands their diet type; promptly report concerns to Clinical Dietitian Transports equipment and consumables as required and observe all safety practices including safe food handling and hand hygiene Report any incidents, accidents, concerns, or complaints to the relevant care giver and follow-up Any other duties that may be required to service our patients Qualifications &/ Registration required: High School Diploma Basic Nutrition or Safe Food Certification preferred Basic knowledge of food & hygiene regulation Experience of working in a food & beverage environment Experience working in a Healthcare environment would be an advantage, but full training will be given Computer literate
