Vision Bermuda (formerly The Bermuda Society for the Blind) provides essential programmes and services to individuals who are blind or visually impaired across Bermuda. We are seeking qualified and experienced professionals to deliver vision rehabilitation therapy. Applicants must hold dual certification in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy and Orientation & Mobility training (North America), or certification as a Vision Rehabilitation Officer (UK), or an equivalent recognised qualification in vision rehabilitation. An additional qualification in integrated health and social care would be an asset. Key Duties and Responsibilities include conducting assessments, delivering vision rehabilitation therapy, developing group rehabilitation therapy, collaborating with community agencies, providing community education, maintaining records, and supervising professionals and volunteers.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (VRT) or equivalent Higher Education with an active, current full and unrestricted certification in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy (CVRT) granted by the Academy of Certification of Vision Rehabilitation & Education Professionals (ACVREP) and in Orientation & Mobility Training (COMS) (North America); or a UK diploma or Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Work (Visual Impairment); or equivalent certifications. • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a Vision Rehabilitation Professional or equivalent in a related rehabilitation field.
