The applicant will perform a variety of tasks in growing and harvesting vegetable crops, knowledge of use of pesticide, herbicides and fungicides, maintaining farm boarders, building and equipment and assisting customers. Job involves heavy lifting, lots of bending, hands on work. Farmers work in all types of weather.

Requirements

Must have Minimum 3 years farm work experience in growing a variety of vegetable crops. Working knowledge of all aspects of crop maintenance from seeding to harvest. Working knowledge of use of pesticides, fungicides and herbicides. Working knowledge of preparing produce for market. Proven ability to perform general maintenance to farm buildings and farming equipment. Intermediate/Heavy Truck an asset, but not required. Ability to work long hours and weekends. Police certificates required for all applicants.
