Qualifications Valid certification in first aid and C.P.R. 1 year experience in Pool/Beach and activity services. Fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal. Provide legible communication. Compute basic mathematical calculations. Knowledge of pool equipment, chemicals and maintenance. Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures with assigned staff, to prioritize and organize work assignments, to delegate work, to direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed, to motivate assigned staff and maintain a cohesive team, ascertain staff training needs and provide such training, be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgement, focus attention of details, perform job functions in outdoor environment with exposure to sun, high temperatures, wind and the ocean, exert physical effort in transporting/handling equipment and supplies. Previous supervisory experience is compulsory for this position. Desirable Qualifications 1. High school graduate, some college. 2. Any supervisory experience. 3. Certification as a lifeguard. 4. Certification in alcohol awareness program. 5. Computer training. 6. Familiarity with cost controls.Essential: 1. Expert physical effort in transporting beach equipment’s, chairs, umbrellas (50lbs) to various locations. 2. Endure various physical movements throughout the work areas. 3. Reach 24 inches/feet. 4. Remain in stationary position for 2 hours throughout work shift. 5. Satisfactorily communicate with guests, management and co-workers to their understanding. Previous supervisory experience is compulsory for this position. Desirable: 1. Previous guest relations training.
