The MarketPlace Ltd is seeking a highly motivated leader to manage and oversee the produce department for the group of stores. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Retail Operations, the Group Produce Director is responsible for implementing profitable programs and processes to optimize bottom line results. Duties include multi-retail unit responsibilities, purchasing, costing, merchandising, and advertising quality produce. You will act as the primary contact with the company for all vendors in assigned categories and manage operational choices in work procedures, inventory allocations, and new product purchases.

Requirements

Five years' experience in a similar role required. Must have proven procurement expertise with perishables. Must have a proven track record of innovative ideas and programs to drive sales and profits to the department. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong computer skills and proficiency with computer software used in the food industry (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook). Ability to bend and lift loads at least 50lbs in weight. Must have strong negotiation skills.
