The Head of Finance will be responsible for leading the financial management of the Bermuda National Trust, ensuring the charity’s finances are planned, managed and reported effectively to support decision-making and the long-term sustainability of the organisation. Reporting to the Executive Director, this role provides strategic financial leadership while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Finance Department. Key responsibilities include leading financial planning and budgeting, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow/investments, overseeing accounting operations, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with audit and charity reporting obligations.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline; Member of the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of Bermuda (CPA Bermuda) or equivalent; At least five years’ post-qualification experience as a CPA; Strong financial management, analytical and leadership skills; Not-for-profit sector experience and Canadian GAAP knowledge for NPOs are assets; Support for occasional evening and weekend events required.
