To ensure that the school’s published statements of mission and philosophy align with those of the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO). To ensure that the school develops and implements policies and procedures that support the Middle Years Program (MYP) and the Diploma Years (DP) program. To ensure the school develops and promotes international-mindedness and all attributes of the IB Learner Profile (Profile of a Somersfield Learner) across the school community. To ensure that collaborative planning and reflection address the requirements of the MYP & DP. To ensure the written curriculum is comprehensive and aligns with the requirements of the MYP and DP. To ensure that assessment at the school aligns with the requirements of the MYP and DP. To ensure that teaching and learning align with the requirements of the DP through collaboration and internal professional development. To ensure that the DP CORE (Extended Essay, CAS, and TOK), MYP Service as Action, and MYP Projects align with the requirements of the IB. To monitor aspects of the MYP & DP using: Managebac/Veracross, IBIS, Programme Resource Center.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education and a teaching qualification. Has fulfilled either an IB Diploma and/or MYP Coordinator role in the past. Three years of teaching experience in an IB MYP and/or DP programme. Direct teaching experience in both the MYP and DP programme is an asset. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school stakeholders. Able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.
