On behalf of our client, Mrs. D. Everline Harvey, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Caregiver to provide essential assistance and companionship to an elderly woman in the comfort of her own home. The caregiver will be responsible for assisting with daily living activities and ensuring the safety and well-being of the client. Key Duties & Responsibilities • Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene. Administer medication according to the prescribed schedule and maintain accurate records of medication administration. • Plan/prepare nutritious meals based on dietary restrictions and preferences and ensure proper nutrition and hydration. Provide mobility assistance including walking and light physical exercise. • Perform general housecleaning duties including laundry. • Accompany client on walks, outings and medical appointments. • Participate in leisure activities to stimulate mental and emotional wellbeing and provide companionship and emotional support. Keep a record of daily activities and any changes in the client's condition; report any concerns or changes in health to the family or healthcare professionals. Respond to medical emergencies, including calling for assistance and administering first aid, if necessary. Ensure that the home is free from hazards and obstacles that may pose a safety risk. Qualifications, Skills and Experience Must be a qualified Caregiver with at least 5 years' experience caring for the elderly • Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of responsibility with excellent communication skills • Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the client's privacy • Trustworthy, reliable and punctual Physically fit and able to assist with mobility issues Possess a valid driver's license, have a minimum of 1 year of continuous driving experience and a clean driving record Our client maintains a drug free work environment and reserves the right to perform pre-employment criminal background checks and random drug tests.
