Reporting to the Chief Actuary, the Manager, Actuary is a strategic leader and a key member of the actuarial team. The Manager, Actuary will have responsibility for a broad range of tasks including valuation, modeling, and reporting. In addition, the role will support the Chief Actuary with various tasks including financial analysis, capital planning and regulatory reporting. Key Responsibilities include performing quarterly actuarial valuation, supporting financial reporting and business planning projections, performing in-depth experience analysis on life and annuity decrements, supporting interactions with external auditors, and implementing design and documentation of actuarial controls.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, actuarial science, etc. Fellow of the Society of Actuaries or equivalent designation. Qualified Actuary with at least 5 years' experience with strong preference for annuity reinsurance and asset modeling exposure. Knowledge of key financial reporting, accounting, and solvency regimes, including Bermuda Monetary Authority and / or Cayman Islands Monetary Authority regulations and Solvency II, US GAAP, US Statutory, and US tax. Experience with actuarial valuation software such as MG-ALFA required.
