Foundry Insurance Services Ltd. is a newly established, Bermuda-based centralised management platform for the life and annuity sector, dedicated to providing investment, risk, and capital management services to the insurance industry. The Actuarial Associate will be a core individual contributor within Foundry's actuarial function, with primary accountability for actuarial model development, management, and maintenance. Reporting to the Chief Actuary, this role carries high individual accountability for model accuracy and output quality across profitability surveillance, reserving, and new transaction support. This is a hands-on technical role suited to an actuary who is capable of independently driving significant model development, working with limited supervision, and delivering production-quality work in a lean, fast-moving environment.
Requirements
Required qualifications include: Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) or equivalent designation; Minimum two years of actuarial experience in the life insurance, annuity, or life reinsurance industry; Prior experience with GGY AXIS or comparable actuarial modelling software; Working knowledge of life and annuity reserving concepts including US Statutory and GAAP frameworks; Strong Excel skills; Proficiency in at least one of Python, VBA, or SQL.
