Based in Bermuda and reporting to the Senior Vice President, Head of Operations & Finance, you will be responsible for aspects of our related accounting, reporting, and systems processes and work closely with other teams as a trusted business partner. Hamilton Re is our Bermuda insurer underwriting property, casualty and specialty insurance and reinsurance on a global basis. Responsibilities include ensuring management information and financial reporting is complete, accurate, and timely; assisting with monthly/quarterly close procedures; and preparing technical accounting memos in accordance with US GAAP.
Requirements
A university degree is required, preferably with an emphasis on business, finance, and accounting. A professional accounting designation is required (e.g., CA, ACA, CPA). At least 3 to 5 years relevant prior experience (including Big Four audit experience within the relevant functional area). In-depth knowledge of US GAAP and Bermuda regulatory requirements. Strong knowledge of reinsurance contract terms and structures. Proven ability to project manage system implementations. Strong references required.
