MS Reinsurance is the market-facing brand of the risk carrying legal entity MS Amlin AG, a global reinsurer domiciled in Switzerland and operating in Bermuda as MS Amlin AG, Bermuda Branch, in the United States through MS Amlin Reinsurance Managers, Inc, and in Labuan, Malaysia as MS Amlin AG, Labuan Branch. Based in Bermuda, these roles will sit within the growing global technical pricing team and bear responsibility as the local guardians of the technical pricing standards for all classes in Bermuda. We are seeking several Pricing Actuaries to support our Specialty and US Property & Casualty business. The primary purpose of the Specialty role will act as a global interface for the business, including trade credit, surety, political risk, marine, property D&F and more, while the US Property & Casualty role will act as a global interface to the US property and casualty business. Your Responsibilities Deliver timely and accurate actuarial input that contributes to underwriting decision making and MS AAG financial targets Be a guardian of the Technical Pricing Framework for the respective business line. Ensure models meet the Reinsurance Pricing policy and standards in respect of technical pricing and rate monitoring Support and drive the model modernization effort within and across MS AAG, collaborating within the pricing and development teams to migrate to the strategic Technical Pricing infrastructure Manage and/or assist in the development, maintenance and calibration of models acting as the first point of contact for the underwriting community Analyze external and internal data to support technical pricing models Develop a strong working relationship with all Bermuda based Underwriters Arrange and deliver underwriter training as required Support Internal Model parameterization work undertaken by Underwriting Facilitation Support the loss reserving process for the Bermuda office of MS Amlin AG: participating in quarterly reserving meetings and supporting the reserving process for regulatory filings in both Bermuda and Switzerland Your profile Qualified actuary with at least 6 years relevant industry experience with knowledge of Reinsurance pricing Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with multiple departments within the organization Strong quantitative analytical and IT skills particularly MS Excel, VBA and SQL experience desirable; programming (R or Python) and data visualization tools (MS Power BI or QlikView) would also be beneficial Ability to work well under pressure and attention to detail Must be well organized with the ability to use initiative and self-manage whilst being able to work effectively in a team environment Experience in understanding, analyzing and writing US Property and Casualty or Specialty business would be an asset Ability to multi-task in a timely, accurate manner and provide feedback efficiently in a fast-paced environment Demonstrate innovation, thought leadership, drive and creativity, drawing on other resources where needed. Strong written and verbal communication skills Able to lead and work collaboratively within a team environment as well as an individual contributor across diverse teams Demonstrates sensitivity, respects cultural differences, and acts in an ethical manner always.
