Lancashire Insurance Company Limited, a member of the Lancashire Insurance Group, is seeking an Investment Accountant to join its Investments and Treasury Team. The successful candidate will support the department's operational and reporting requirements, including monthly and quarterly reporting, rating agency surveys, and regulatory filings. Main responsibilities include ensuring investment data accuracy in Clearwater, preparing journal entries, reconciling investment accounts, preparing disclosures, and liaising with auditors.

Requirements

Professional accounting (CA, CPA or ACA designation) or CFA qualification required. 3 years post qualification experience, specifically gained in investment accounting within the insurance industry is strongly preferred. Detailed current knowledge and experience of IFRS and/or US GAAP for investment accounting is required. Strong knowledge of finance systems is required. Experience with Clearwater and Great Plains systems is a distinct advantage. Previous experience in a multi-currency environment would be a distinct advantage. Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on one's own initiative. Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite of applications with advanced skills in Excel is required. Strong work ethics and the ability to work extended hours including weekends during busy periods is required.
