The Kroll Restructuring practice aims to provide effective solutions to its clients. Our clients include major banks, asset-based lenders, private equity houses, accountants, solicitors, financial sponsors, lenders, creditors, corporates and individuals. The Kroll Bermuda Ltd. invites applications for the position of Senior Associate, Restructuring.
Duties and responsibilities:
Assist with forensic or insolvency engagements such as official and voluntary liquidations, receivership, restructuring, valuation, contentious litigation support, asset tracing and forensic accounting investigations (preferably under English-based regimes);
Interpret market and topical issues for various restructuring propositions as well as conducting industry and business research when required;
Use your experience to provide knowledge of financial services and/or the asset management sector;
Use your experience in offshore insolvency and complex cross-border matters, particularly across BVI, Cayman Islands, Hong Kong, USA and PRC jurisdictions
Use analytical skills to complete books and record reviews, manage creditor claims and fund flow investigations;
Analyse companies' financial performance;
Provide support in legal claims, such as professional negligence and breach of fiduciary duties
Draft whole or sections of expert and other reports to court, committees of inspection and other creditors;
Work with senior management of companies, clients, creditors as well as external advisors such as consultants, auditors and lawyers;
Assist with business development activities and client relationship management;
Work across geographies in US, Asia, Europe and other offshore jurisdictions.
Required skills and qualifications:
2-4 years of relevant experience working within insolvency, restructuring or equivalent fields, with offshore experience as a distinct advantage;
Bachelor degree or higher in finance, accounting or business administration;
ACA, ACCA, CPA) with training from the big 4 or global B-tier firm;
Driven, displays leadership skills, influences others as well as collaborative problem solver;
Risk tolerant and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment;
Good business sense and commercial acumen;
Strong financial, business analytical and report writing skills;
High level of attention to detail;
Excellent communication skills (written and spoken);
Strong people and client management skills;
