We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Accountant to ensure our organization's financial records remain accurate, compliant, and timely. This is a dynamic role that combines strong technical expertise with analytical insight to support all departments across the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing financial statements, monitoring transactions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and contributing to the development of financial strategy. This role provides strong potential for professional development and career growth for the ideal candidate who will play a key role in maintaining the organizations' financial integrity, stability, and accountability. Responsibilities Preparing statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards Producing month-end and year-end financial statements, journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules Maintaining accurate balance sheet control and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis Managing accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation processes Supporting external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries Overseeing tax-related tasks and regulatory submissions Partnering with internal teams to explain financial performance and support decision-making Identifying process improvements, strengthening internal controls and enhancing financial reporting accuracy Qualifications, Experience and Skills Part-qualified or fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline (beneficial) Strong grounding in financial or management accounting roles Solid understanding of financial reporting frameworks and compliance requirements Experience with accounting software, payroll systems and advanced Excel skills Exposure to audit, tax or financial control environments (advantageous) Strong numerical and analytical capability Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Ability to interpret and clearly communicate financial information Organizational skills and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines Problem-solving and process improvement mindset Confidence collaborating with non-finance stakeholders Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools
