Senior Finance Manager - Group Planning and Life & Annuity will report to the Group Chief Financial Officer and have responsibility for a wide range of financial and management reporting requirements. They will be highly motivated and energetic, serve as a life insurance accounting expert and senior technical resource. The Senior Finance Manager will also build out and maintain the Company's business planning financial model and have significant input into the strategic decision-making process. The role will have frequent interaction with the Group CFO, actuaries, investment managers, risk management and the Group and Life business Executive Committee members and board of directors. Key Responsibilities: Group Planning responsibilities will include: • Lead the company-wide strategic and business planning processes. • Build and maintain detailed financial models to support the company's multi-year business planning and forecasting. • Implement effective processes and controls around the business planning and forecasting process. • Preparation of profitability reporting and analysis of the company's business segments and corporate transactions, Support the preparation of management and board presentations. • Participate in the execution of relevant finance projects as well as recommend and implement improvements. In relation to Life and Annuity responsibilities: • Reinsurance contract and Investment accounting. General ledger management. Monthly & quarterly management reporting for the CFO and Life and Annulty Executive Committee: • Monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting and analysis of US GAAP financial statements, • Provide support on life reinsurance transaction completion and onboarding, as well as special projects related to the life reinsurance business. • Work closely with FP&A, internal and external auditors and the Capital Reporting team in the completion of the BMA statutory fillings and reporting of capital and solvency returns. • Provide business planning, budgeting and forecasting support for the life reinsurance business. Candidate Qualifications: CPA, MBA, CFA and/or similar professional designation is preferred. Minimum seven (7) years of experience in insurance and/or reinsurance industry required. • Experience with complex and detailed financial modelling of group business plans and related scenario modelling for strategic decisions. • Knowledge of the accounting for life insurance and annulty products, BMA regulations, knowledge of Bermuda Class E long term regulatory reporting: including BSCR and FCR or equivalent regimes preferred. • Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills. High degree of financial acumen, good understanding of insurance financial statements and of insurance business generally.
