Hannover Re Capital Partners is a new setup and aims to strategically expand Hannover Re’s ILS activities by combining it with its world-leading natural catastrophe underwriting capabilities. We are currently seeking applicants for our SENIOR ANALYST, ILS position reporting to the Head of Capital & Underwriting. This position is a key component within the core of the organization and will support portfolio analytics, reporting, and systems development. Main Responsibilities include producing portfolio insights such as TVaRs, developing financial models, assisting in translating portfolio targets, supporting trade execution, data reconciliation, event response analysis, and developing scripts to automate processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, computer science or similar
- A minimum of five (5) years of actuarial or catastrophe modelling analytics experience in ILS, reinsurance, asset management, or a related field
- Knowledge of coding language (e.g. C#, Python, SQL) and experience working with large databases
- Experience creating investor-facing presentations is preferred
- Strong work ethic with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently on solutions to complex problems in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to establish, maintain and expand business relationships at all levels
- Willingness to work additional hours as needed to meet business objectives
