
The post holder is accountable for providing high standards of Physiotherapy care within the Community Rehabilitation Program. The post holder should be familiar with each of the clinical areas listed and must have specialty skills in at least one of the below clinical areas: 1. Early Intervention (Children from birth to 4 years of age who meet the eligibility criteria). 2. Physical and Learning Disabilities (special needs school for children aged 4 to 18 years/those enrolled in the public school system with physical and cognitive challenges who meet the eligibility criteria). 3. School Health (children pre-school through high school who meet the eligibility criteria). 4. Seniors Team (aged 65+ years and adults who meet eligibility criteria). The area of clinical responsibility may change depending on the service needs and as directed by the Coordinator of Occupational & Physiotherapy Services. The post holder is accountable for offering a broad range of services to support people in managing motor and functional impairments. Physiotherapists will determine the need for intervention following an assessment, its outcomes and consideration of any associated diagnosis. The post holder is further accountable for determining the course of treatment through to the discharge planning with clients. Post holders will have skills to offer clinical consultation to families, doctors, psychologists, care givers, teachers and other professionals. Most possess a Master's degree in Physiotherapy or equivalent. Must be registered or eligible for registration with the Bermuda Council For Allied Health Professions (CAHP) and have valid CPR certification.
