Assistant Official Receiver - Liquidation And Insolvency

Under the direction of the Deputy Director Head of Corporate Regulation and Engagement, the post holder is responsible for the management of the Insolvency Division including personnel and financial administration in accordance with established policies and procedures. Additionally, the post holder is responsible for other regulatory duties including the regulation of insolvency practitioners, monitoring and enforcement of compliance under the relevant legislations.

Requirements

The post holder must be an accountant and/or insolvency practitioner accountant with a minimum of ten (10) years' post qualification experience including five (5) years' relevant insolvency/liquidation experience. It is recommended that the post holder have extensive experience and understanding of applicable laws including; the Companies Act 1981, the Companies (Winding-Up) Rules 1982, the Bankruptcy Act 1989 and the Bankruptcy Rules 1990. Must possess a professional qualification in accountancy and be a full member of an internationally recognized professional body, Licensed Insolvency Practitioner, etc., and/or Bachelors in Law (LLB). A Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency is highly desirable.
