Premia Reinsurance Ltd. is a Bermuda-based class 4 specialty reinsurance company focused on acquiring non-life run-off (re)insurance portfolios including acquiring companies in run-off worldwide. Premia currently has operations in Bermuda, the United States, Lloyd’s of London and continental Europe. We are currently hiring for an Investment Analyst to join the Group Investment Reporting and Operations team. The successful applicant will be tasked with supporting the function’s roles and responsibilities at the company. Key Duties and Responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual investment accounting for US GAAP financial statements, performing and improving investment controls, preparing management information and board reports, on-boarding new business acquisitions, managing cash and portfolio forecasting, and participating in audits and ad-hoc projects.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, and a professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACA or equivalent) with at least 3 years of relevant experience at a 'Big 4' accounting firm in financial services or in reinsurance, banking, or investment management industries. Experience in teams, knowledge of US GAAP, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and flexibility to work extended hours are required. Beneficial skills include experience with Clearwater Analytics, multi-currency environments, and knowledge of Bermuda regulatory requirements.
