To support this mission, they are seeking a reliable and skilled Facilities Maintenance Technician to join their team. This role plays a critical part in all day-to-day operations by ensuring the store's facilities remain in excellent operational condition to support the well-being of our staff and customers, while adhering to health & safety standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Regular inspections and maintenance of the store's facilities, including HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general upkeep. Daily repairs, such as leaking pipes, basic electrical faults, maintaining air conditioning systems, oil changes for trucks, maintaining warehouse roller doors. Addressing emergency maintenance requests and prioritize urgent repairs. Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are met in all areas.

Requirements

Minimum of seven years' experience in the contracting and maintenance industry with proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field. Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, welding experience and general building maintenance. Relevant certifications in maintenance or technical fields. Ability to operate a forklift and heavy machinery. A clean, valid heavy truck license. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail. Excellent communication skills with a proactive and positive attitude. Ability to work both in a team environment and independently. Capacity to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders and roofs for inspection. A clear criminal record and excellent employment references are required.
