Based in Bermuda and reporting into the Chief Underwriting Officer this role is responsible for leading the company's global reinsurance pricing function, ensuring consistent, data-driven pricing excellence across all treaties, facultative business, and geographies. Key areas of responsibility will include: Overseeing the pricing of complex treaties globally, ensuring strict alignment with underwriting strategy, risk appetite, and corporate return-on-equity objectives. Developing and maintaining reporting systems to monitor rate adequacy, rate movements, limit profiles, aggregate usage and allocation, attachment points, and other KPIs to support the business. Working side-by-side with Underwriters to understand the underlying primary business and ensuring technical pricing rigor in every deal. Monitoring reinsurance market and portfolio trends, communicating key technical insights to all stakeholders. Maintaining and regularly updating benchmark assumptions using the most current industry data and emerging loss trends (e.g., social inflation, climate change). Ensuring the team is equipped with modern tools (including Python, R, or proprietary platforms), technology, and training to maintain a competitive edge. Building a pricing team over time, ensuring high-quality, technically sound pricing across all reinsurance classes (Property, Casualty, and Specialty).

Requirements

Together with extensive actuarial pricing experience (London or Bermuda markets preferred), the successful candidate will have: An Actuarial designation (FCAS, FIA, FCIA, or equivalent). Proven expertise in pricing a broad range of Property, Specialty, and Casualty (re)insurance products. Demonstrated experience leading globally distributed teams and developing top-tier actuarial talent.
