As a Personal Banker, you will focus the majority of your time driving new business, helping clients and building long term relationships, by identifying financial needs and goals, advising on a full range of personal financial solutions and fulfilling service expectations. Personal Bankers must thrive on client interaction, be flexible self-starters and enjoy working within a demanding and progressive, professional banking environment. Personal Bankers are expected to meet aggressive sales targets whilst nurturing strong working relationships with clients, colleagues, and the operational units of the Bank to ensure the delivery of consistent high quality banking services. Key Job Accountabilities: Formulate a strategy to assist financially astute clients to accumulate wealth through a higher level of expertise and enhanced banking services Proactively identify deposit, loan and investment opportunities and coordinate with clients and prospective clients Negotiate, underwrite and document credit facilities. Support and diligently carry out the administration, reporting, policy and process activities of the Bank and the credit division. Actively engage with personal clients to uncover financial needs and recommend the best products and services. Assist personal clients in the account opening process, service personal client support requests and cross-sell personal banking and other financial services. Cultivate wealth management and commercial business opportunities for the Bank through personal client relationships and draw upon resources as needed to close. Represent Clarien at various business and community events with a view to developing and strengthening client relationships. Carry out special projects as assigned or other duties as required. Qualifications & Experience: University degree in a Business field of study or equivalent combination of other formal education/training and experience in a sales and service role. Two years of experience in a financial services industry role, and/or two years of client service and sales experience with demonstrable record of achievement. As a Lender, you will support the growth and performance of the Bank's lending portfolio by guiding clients to secure financial solutions. This role is well suited to a proactive professional who enjoys building client relationships, preparing lending submissions, and contributing to the expansion of retail personal and private banking loans and mortgages through quality client experiences. Key Job Accountabilities: Engage with clients to understand their financial needs and guide them through the lending process, ensuring a professional and positive client experience. Prepare and submit complete and accurate loan and mortgage applications to support timely credit approvals. Support the management and growth of a portfolio of retail and private banking lending relationships, contributing to customer retention and cross-selling opportunities. Analyze financial statements and relevant documentation to support lending applications and ongoing credit assessments. Monitor active loan files and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and client experience. Identify new business opportunities through relationship-building, referrals, and promotion of the Bank's lending products and services. Conduct annual reviews of assigned client accounts in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements. Assist in the management of delinquent or problem loans by working with clients and supporting senior lenders in restructuring or collection efforts, as required. Contribute to the enhancement of internal processes, policies, and procedures, including supporting initiatives to digitize and streamline workflows. Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a financial services environment. A minimum of three years' experience in lending, with a proven track record of success in driving loan and mortgage business growth. Expertise in managing a variety of loans, including mortgages and personal loans, with a focus on client solutions. Strong financial analysis skills and the ability to convert complex data into actionable business opportunities. Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently, consistently exceeding targets. while maintaining high accuracy. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, with a natural ability to build rapport and trust with clients and colleagues. Strong organizational and time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. A willingness to adapt to new technology and tools. Collaborative team player with the ability to inspire and guide others toward achieving organizational goals.
