We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Finance Accountant to keep our organization in finances accurate, compliant and timely. This is a demanding role which mixes technical skills with analytical thinking to support all departments. The successful applicant would be required to prepare financial statements, monitor transactions, ensure everything meets legal requirements, and help shape financial strategy. The ideal candidate would have strong career growth potential and play a vital role in keeping their organization financially healthy and accountable. Responsibilities • Preparing statutory accounts in line with relevant accounting standards • Producing month-end and year-end financial statements, journals, reconciliations and supporting schedules • Maintaining accurate balance sheet control and ensuring compliance with internal financial policies • Assisting with budgeting and forecasting activities by providing accurate financial data and variance analysis • Managing accruals, prepayments, fixed assets and depreciation processes • Supporting external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor queries • Overseeing tax-related tasks and regulatory submissions • Partnering with internal teams to explain financial performance and support decision-making • Identifying process improvements, strengthening internal controls and enhancing financial reporting accuracy Qualifications, Experience and Skills • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) • A degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline (beneficial) • Strong grounding in financial or management accounting roles • Solid understanding of financial reporting frameworks and compliance requirements • Experience with accounting software, payroll systems and advanced Excel skills • Exposure to audit, tax or financial control environments (advantageous) • Strong numerical and analytical capability • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to interpret and clearly communicate financial information • Organizational skills and the ability to meet tight reporting deadlines • Problem-solving and process improvement mindset • Confidence collaborating with non-finance stakeholders • Proficiency in financial systems, spreadsheets and reporting tools
