The Royal Palms Hotel and its sister property, The Oxford, are seeking a dedicated and hands-on live-in couple to join our team. We are looking for individuals with at least 2 years' work experience who align with our values, take pride in their work, and are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences with a proactive and positive attitude. The Housekeeper will play a key role in overseeing the housekeeping department, ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service are consistently maintained across the property. Responsibilities include: Cleaning of guest rooms and public areas Handling guest and hotel laundry Overseeing housekeeping staff Office duties to include the arrival and departure of guests and room reservations Ordering supplies Provide overnight on call coverage Provide general on-site support as needed Strong computer skills are essential for managing administrative and operational tasks efficiently. The Maintenance Handyperson will be responsible for the care and general upkeep of our historic late 19th-century properties. Responsibilities include: Performing general repairs across hotel and associated properties (including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting) Maintaining the gardens and swimming pool Assisting with guest luggage and providing houseman services Ensuring hotel security Provide overnight on call coverage Provide general on-site support as needed This role requires someone who is physically fit and capable of handling labour-intensive duties. Ability to work independently and take initiative Strong multitasking skills, especially in a small team environment Professional appearance and friendly demeanor A team-oriented attitude with a strong focus on guest satisfaction LIVE-IN HOUSEKEEPER The Live-in Housekeeper is a hardworking, hands-on individual with at least Three (3) years' work experience in a similar role, who is committed to upholding the high standards and values of both properties. The successful candidate will be guest-focused, proactive, and able to anticipate guest needs while always maintaining a positive and professional attitude. Key Responsibilities include: Overseeing housekeeping staff Care, cleaning, and upkeep of all guest rooms Managing guest laundry services Cleaning and maintaining public areas Organization of storerooms and inventory Assisting the front office with room reservations Handling guest arrivals and departures, particularly after hours Shared responsibility for after-hours and overnight coverage The role requires computer literacy, including the ability to complete housekeeping rosters, ordering supplies, and managing inventory. You will work as part of a close-knit team dedicated to ensuring every guest receives exceptional service. As this position involves regular interaction with guests, a smart appearance and a pleasant, professional disposition are essential. The successful candidate will demonstrate: The ability to work independently using own initiative Ability to work within a team A consistently positive and professional image Flexibility to perform a variety of duties typical of a small property The ability to follow instructions with minimal supervision Must be able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
