Bermuda Pain Services seeks a highly qualified Registered Nurse to join its specialized outpatient pain management practice. The role requires independent clinical judgment, resourcefulness, high energy and the ability to coordinate complex patient care. The successful candidate will work closely with anesthesiologists and other healthcare professionals. Responsibilities include pre-procedure assessment and patient education; assistance with interventional procedures and sedation monitoring; prescribed infusion therapy; post-procedure recovery and discharge; clinical telephone follow-up and care coordination; accurate documentation; and development, implement, and evaluate clinical protocols, workflows and new services in collaboration with physicians and patient family care.

Requirements

The successful applicant must be a Registered Nurse with experience in critical care, or recovery room, and or, who has a high degree of expertise in nursing care and management of patients with pain. Experience administering and monitoring ketamine infusions; previous work in an outpatient procedural clinic; familiarity with ultrasound-guided and fluoroscopy-guided interventional pain procedures; and practical experience supporting fluoroscopic imaging. Must be an experienced Phlebotomist. Minimum 5 years of work experience as a Registered Nurse with substantial experience in critical care, emergency medicine, or post-anesthesia recovery. Valid Bermuda Nursing Council License and BLS & ACLS certification are required. Must be able from 8am to 6pm, Monday – Friday.
