The Community Support Worker will be expected to provide ongoing support, daily care and assistance to persons with intellectual disabilities, in various homes across the island. The homes consist of rest home environments, semi-independence and challenging behavior. Key responsibilities include supporting clients in person centered ways, assisting with practical activities like bathing, cooking, and eating, promoting independence through training programs, and monitoring physical/mental conditions.

Requirements

High School Certificate, GED or equivalent; Nursing Assistant Certificate with three years' experience working with persons with Intellectual Disabilities (less years will be considered); Must be registered with the Bermuda Nursing Council; Safety Care Certificate and CPR would be an asset; Must be capable of safely operating approved lifting devices; Must have a current driver's license.
