Key Duties and Responsibilities include managing the input and areas of Finance responsibility for the submissions of regulatory reports to the Bermuda Monetary Authority, providing tactical leadership, developing and implementing an appropriate governance framework, managing GAAP reporting, overseeing all month-end and quarter-close activities, preparing audited financial statements, and mentoring team members.

Requirements

Minimum 10 years of experience of Financial accounting and reporting in the insurance / financial services industry. Internationally recognized accounting designation (CA, ACA, CPA or equivalent). Understanding of US statutory insurance and GAAP insurance/reinsurance reporting requirements. Demonstrated success in managing relationships with internal business customers at a senior level. Proven success in managing cross functional teams and matrix management and experience managing qualified accountants. Experience with project management/ coordination, including managing multiple complex projects to quality, time and budget. Familiarity with various systems including CODA; Procede; Concur Microsoft packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, E-mail), Internet software, SharePoint.
