Senior Industrial Electrician/Foreperson

Reporting to the Project Manager, the incumbents are responsible for ongoing installations, maintenance, repair, testing, and performance of industrial electrical equipment and associated controls. Duties & Responsibilities: Oversee a staff of industrial technicians Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, conduits, switches, feeders, lighting fixtures and other electrical components Install and test mineral-insulated copper-clad cable Install cable tray and associated cable in an industrial environment Test electrical/electronic equipment for continuity, current, voltage and resistance Maintain, repair, install and test switchgear, safety switches, regulators and reactors, up to 4,160VAC Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, generators, industrial storage batteries and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems Troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical/electronic control systems and other related devices Troubleshoot and repair PLC, VFD and DC drives Perform preventive maintenance, complete maintenance reports Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience: Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment and associated electrical/electronic controls Previous experience as an industrial electrician in production and turbine/cogen facilities preferred Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Must adhere to all equipment specifications and technical manual instructions Must be well versed in lock-out/tag-out procedures and possess a strong safety orientation and record
