BNRE Bermuda Services Ltd. is hiring a BNRE Bermuda Services Ltd. (BNRE Services) seek applications to fill the role of Vice President, Capital Management. BNRE Services supports the wholly owned subsidiaries of Brookfield Wealth Solutions. Reporting into and working closely with the Senior Vice President, Capital Management, the Vice President, Capital Management will collaborate across functions to develop and operationalize key management reporting packages and identify opportunities to effectively manage the Freestone Re balance sheet.
Responsibilities:
Operationalize a process to evaluate performance on the Bermuda Economic Balance Sheet, collaborating with investments, actuarial, finance and risk;
Develop and operationalize a standardized management quarterly reporting package outlining analysis on the changes in the EBS solvency ratio, statutory income and DOE;
Develop and operationalize a standardized management quarterly reporting on Bermuda Best Estimate Liability, with a focus on investment implications;
Identify and implement opportunities to optimize the Bermuda Best Estimate Liability;
Support the Freestone Re FP&A team to refine the projected EBS process to provide a preview of the solvency ratio to the management team;
Support due diligence on potential affiliated or third-party reinsurance transactions involving life and annuity, pension risk transfer;
Support the development, launch and implementation of new product lines;
Support the implementation of change in reinsurance structure.Bachelor's degree required in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Finance;
Qualified Actuary preferred (ASA, ACIA or equivalent) or near qualification;
Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, including life and/or annuity product development, reinsurance, insurance M&A, and valuation/financial reporting;
Familiarity with Bermuda Solvency Regime and/or US STAT or comparable solvency based reserving regime (Solvency II, Cash Flow Testing, CALM, etc.);
Strong skills/experience in GGY AXIS and/or MG-ALFA;
Strong skills/experience in actuarial modeling;
Strong quantitative and technical abilities, and knowledge of life and annuity products;
Strong communication skills with the ability to present clearly and offer practical advice;
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to operate independently;
Team-oriented with a commitment to shared success;
Excellent judgement and analytical skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness;
Ability to reliably process workload and adhere to deadlines; and
High degree of professional ethics and integrity.
