Sr Manager Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

Reporting to the VP, Head of Bermuda FP&A, this position manages the preparation and analysis of quarterly results as well as the GAAP annual planning and quarterly forecasting for Athene Bermuda entities, with a primary focus on the cost of funds (COF) process. Job Responsibilities Manage the development, and maintenance of the COF reporting tools used in the GAAP plan/forecast and actual results analysis Lead the GAAP planning and forecasting meetings with actuarial functions providing actual and plan/forecast results comprising a significant portion of the COF Work closely with actuarial functions to provide meaningful analysis and challenge the GAAP financial plan and leading indicators to identify opportunities for management to enhance outcomes Develop the GAAP planning and forecasting documents and presentation decks Accumulate and develop assumptions to be used in the GAAP plan/forecast process Suggest and implement GAAP planning and forecasting process improvements Analyze specific targeted line items and individual revenue and expense categories appearing in the COF Perform GAAP planning, forecasting, and variance messaging for Athene's executive leadership team Create quarterly GAAP/STAT earnings materials to be presented to executive leadership team Lead ad hoc financial analysis projects Lead the COF process by coaching and guiding the team Support corporate strategy development, execution, and monitoring with relevant variance and financial analysis Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance with a recognized accounting qualification 6+ years of increasingly responsible financial planning and analysis experience with preference to candidates who also have experience in the insurance industry 3+ years of demonstrated leadership experience is required Advanced knowledge of Excel required (e.g., advanced formulas, lookups, and index abilities) Experience with general ledgers, databases, report writing and planning software is desired, especially Essbase Experience with actuarial concepts a plus
