Saltus Grammar School is hiring a Saltus Grammar School is seeking a warm, personable, and highly organized professional to server as the Whole School Receptionist. As the first point of contact for all visitors, callers, and stakeholders, the Whole School Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of School, this position is responsible for managing the main reception area and handling incoming communications with efficiency and care. The Receptionist will also provide a range of administrative and safety-related support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the School. Responsibilities include school receptionist, safety and security support, and administrative duties.Postsecondary education. Minimum 5 years prior experience in a similar position or in an administrative role. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Experience operating a multi-line telephone system. Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred. Familiarity with Blackbaud or similar database systems is an asset. Valid CPR and SCARS Certification. Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills. Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanour. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and frequent interruptions. Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities. Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently. Proven ability to remain clam and effective under pressure especially in emergency situations. Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and consistently positive attitude. Willingness to occasionally work additional hours to support school events. Clean criminal report.
