Bermuda Airport Authority is hiring a The Project Manager plays a key role in supporting the strategic and operational mandates of the Director of Aerodrome Development and Technical Services ("ADTS"), particularly in the execution and monitoring of airport capital development, infrastructure oversight, and project delivery per the Authority's regulatory and contractual frameworks. This position ensures the effective implementation of facility and asset management projects while providing technical and administrative support that aligns with the Authority's capital planning, asset management, compliance monitoring, and aerodrome development strategies.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Project Planning and Delivery: Support and manage the end-to-end delivery of capital and maintenance projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards in alignment with organizational strategy.
Contract and Procurement Management: Coordinate tender processes, evaluate bids, prepare contract documents, and manage vendor/consultant contracts to ensure performance against contractual obligations.
Construction Administration and Site Oversight: Conduct regular field reviews, manage construction progress, chair site meetings, issue variation/change orders, and resolve technical or execution issues on-site.
Data and Documentation Management: Maintain and oversee the technical data centre, facility as built drawings, alteration permit system, power grid plans, and digital drawing archives in compliance with internal and statutory requirements.
Aviation risk, Safety, and Compliance: Identify and mitigate project risks, ensure adherence to aviation safety regulations, and enforce compliance with financial instructions, procurement code of practice, and building codes.
Project Reporting and Monitoring: Track and report on project progress, financials, risks, and deliverables through structured status reports and stakeholder updates.
Team and Consultant Coordination: Collaborate with in-house teams, technical consultants (e.g., structural, mechanical, electrical), and contractors to coordinate interdisciplinary project inputs and maintain alignment with project goals.
Quality Assurance and Technical Standards: Review technical submissions, drawings, and specifications for consistency, feasibility, and compliance. Develop and implement quality control protocols throughout the project lifecycle.
Change and Asset Management: Administer facility alteration approvals, ensure integration of as-built drawings into asset records, and contribute to ongoing asset life cycle and condition assessment efforts.Project Management certified, or a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related technical field.
A minimum of five (5) years' post-qualification experience in general building preventative maintenance, and/or construction, its associated terminology, with a strong emphasis on current building codes and practices.
Operating proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft 365 suite of programs (including Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or equivalent).
Membership with a professional Facility Management Organization, such as IFMA, NFPA, NEC or equivalent would be an asset.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Proven organisational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
Effective team player with the ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
