Saltus Grammar School is seeking a warm, personable, and highly organized professional to serve as the Whole School Receptionist. As the first point of contact for all visitors, callers, and stakeholders, the Whole School Receptionist plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and professional environment. Reporting directly to the Deputy Head of School, this position is responsible for managing the main reception area and handling incoming communications with efficiency and care. The Receptionist will also provide a range of administrative and safety-related support to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the School. Key Responsibilities include greeting and assisting all visitors, managing the main telephone line, maintaining a clean reception area, liaising with internal departments and external stakeholders, and administering basic first aid when required.

Requirements

Postsecondary education; Minimum 5 years prior experience in a similar position or in an administrative role; Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Experience operating a multi-line telephone system; Previous experience working in a school environment is preferred; Valid CPR and SCARS Certification; Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills; Friendly, approachable, and patient demeanor; Excellent verbal and written communication skills; Professional, discreet, and able to handle confidential information; Strong organizational skills; Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently; Clean criminal report.
