Our client, Shelf Opco Bermuda Limited and Affiliates, is the Bermuda operating company for The Fidelis Partnership ("TFP"), a leading specialty, bespoke and (re)insurance business. The Fidelis Partnership is one of the largest Managing General Underwriters globally and its operations also include outwards reinsurance, claims handling, exposure management and portfolio analytics. The Fidelis Partnership also sponsors and incubates specialist MGAs through its Pine Walk platform. The Fidelis Partnership is separately owned and managed from the ownership and management of Fidelis Insurance Group.
As a consequence of rapid growth, TFP are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Treasury Analyst, to support both the Treasury Manager, and other various strategic initiatives.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Monitoring of all cash and investment balances;
Proposing actions to fund any shortfalls or invest surplus funds;
• Work with banking partners to open new accounts where required, to assist in completing periodic KYC requirements and to assist in maintaining banks' user access rights and mandate;
• Assist with the management of interest rate swaps and FX swaps and prepare any accounting journals;
Arrange any spot FX trades as required;
• Prepare commission settlement listings for client services;
Assist with the payment of non-routine balances;
• Arrange for the collection of interest earned on all fiduciary accounts;
Execute and monitor intercompany loans;
Work with the FP&A team to support cashflow forecasts and monitoring;
• Preparation of the monthly transaction listings file required for internal reporting;
Support the external audit of all treasury balances; and
• Ad-hoc support to any strategic initiatives
Minimum Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
• Professional accounting designation (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent)
3 years of relevant experience obtained within a treasury function, or external audit; re/insurance experience strongly preferred
• Knowledge of financial systems and reporting tools; such as AnaPlan, Power Bl and Alteryx will be preferable
Exceptional communication, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Prior experience of project management is considered an advantage
