We require the services of an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can manage specific product areas encompassing merchandising, marketing and purchasing. Responsibilities will include: • Purchasing for Electrical, Plumbing and Automotive departments in the Home Centre • Supervising the staff in those departments together with the Company’s group of cashiers. • Manage merchandising and marketing of those departments. The successful applicant will:  Proven experience as a retail buyer or relevant role  Demonstrate strong people management skills.  Excellent knowledge of MS Office and able to embrace our legacy processing systems.  Possess excellent customer service and follow-up skills.  Have strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure.  Be able to attend overseas trade shows, which will include working on a Sunday.  Have the ability to put in the extra hours when necessary. Standard hours of work are 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday thru Saturday but will vary depending on time of year. We offer a competitive pay and benefits package in one of Bermuda’s leading retail stores.

Requirements

Proven experience as a retail buyer or relevant role; strong people management skills; excellent knowledge of MS Office; excellent customer service; strong organizational skills; ability to work under pressure; ability to attend overseas trade shows; flexible with hours when necessary.
