We require the services of an energetic, enthusiastic and self-motivated individual who can manage specific product areas encompassing merchandising, marketing and purchasing. Responsibilities will include: Purchasing for Electrical, Plumbing and Automotive departments in the Home Centre Supervising the staff in those departments together with the Company's group of cashiers. Manage merchandising and marketing of those departments. The successful applicant will: Proven experience as a retail buyer or relevant role Demonstrate strong people management skills. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and able to embrace our legacy processing systems. Possess excellent customer service and follow-up skills. Have strong organizational skills and ability to work under pressure. Be able to attend overseas trade shows, which will include working on a Sunday. Have the ability to put in the extra hours when necessary. Standard hours of work are 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday thru Saturday but will vary depending on time of year.
