We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Middle School Paraeducator/Learning Support Assistant to join our Secondary Academic Resource Department. The successful candidate will provide instructional, behavioural, and social support to students with diverse learning needs, working under the direct guidance of the classroom teacher and school administration to foster an inclusive environment. This person will report directly to the Head of Academic Resource (Learning Support).Key Responsibilities: Instructional Support: Assist teachers in delivering lesson plans and providing one-on-one or small group reinforcement in core subjects. Student Supervision: Monitor student safety and engagement during classroom activities, recess, and lunch. IEP Implementation: Support the execution of Individualised Education Plans (IEPs) and collect data on student progress and behavior. Resource Preparation: Assist with the preparation of instructional materials and maintain an organised learning space. Collaboration: Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: Must hold a minimum of an associate's degree in education (or equivalent). Completion of (or confirmed enrollment in) a BEC-recognised Paraeducator Training Program (e.g. Bermuda College EDU 2205, TDS1114 or equivalent). Must be eligible for registration with the Bermuda Educators Council (BEC).
