Somersfield Academy seeks an experienced School Library Media Specialist for the 2026-27 Academic Year. The LMS will work with students aged 3-18 and teach across all grade levels to develop and promote skills and interest in literacy, research, and media. Responsibilities include working collaboratively with administration and faculty to create, develop and assess a library programme supporting Montessori, IPC, IB MYP, and DP curriculums. The role provides instructional leadership for information, digital, and AI literacy skills and involves maintaining a resource center collection rich in print and digital materials.
Requirements
A B. Ed/PGCE in a relevant academic subject; A minimum of three-years library experience; Master's degree in Library and Information Science (preferred); Library experience in an International Baccalaureate School (preferred); Knowledge of library research databases; An ability to create, deliver and assess a research and study skills curriculum vertically aligned from CH - DP2.
