Trust Associate

The position will report into the Private client director to administer a portfolio of trusts. Responsibilities: Acting in accordance with trust regulatory requirements and adherence with Ocorian's policies and procedures. Administering a portfolio of trusts, reviewing and comprehending trust deeds. Conducting Trust Reviews, investment reviews, and ongoing-transaction monitoring. Reviewing and understanding trust financial statements. Reviewing appropriate bank statements and arranging for monies to be placed upon deposit as necessary. Ensuring billing and collection of receivables. Ensuring accuracy and detail of trust records, the trust file and computer database. Attending to all incoming correspondence within 3 working days. Attending to client needs, preparing and holding meetings, as required. Liaising with all interacting intermediaries including corporate administrators, bankers, protectors, investment managers/advisors, settlers and beneficiaries. Displaying a mature approach to complex trust administration and high volume client workload. Taking an active role in personal development and company development. Qualifications Required: Formal trustee qualification (TEP or ICSA) or other related university or tertiary qualification. A minimum of 5 years' trust administration experience demonstrating the ability to use initiative and work independently. Broad knowledge of trust and estate administration, including corporate trusts, together with accounting and investment knowledge. Assists with training and developing staff. Possesses good teambuilding and organizational skills. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs, specifically MS Word. Strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to deal effectively and courteously with clients, attorneys and colleagues, and exercise discretion and confidentiality in all matters.
