The Director, Finance provides leadership and oversight for the financial operations of the Bermuda Corporate Income Tax Agency, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accuracy in reporting, and effective financial management. The Director, Finance manages the Finance Manager, leads the Finance and Accounting Department, and plays a pivotal role in translating strategic financial objectives into effective operational execution. This includes leading budgeting, forecasting, financial control, and process improvement activities to ensure the Agency’s financial framework supports both statutory obligations and strategic priorities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. Professional accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA) is required. Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning and reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Strong knowledge and comprehensive understanding of Bermuda government accounting and financial reporting requirements for Quango organizations is preferred. Expertise in financial systems and accounting software, with the ability to implement, manage, and oversee the use of finance tools. Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting, finance, or financial management with at least 5 years of experience in a senior leadership or executive finance role with responsibility for effectively leading a team. Proven track record of ensuring financial compliance and liaising with regulatory bodies. Demonstrated ability to provide strategic financial analysis and actionable insights that drive decision-making.
