The post holder works under the direction of the Traffic Supervisors and Dispatcher Inspectors to safely operate the assigned vehicle on a timely basis and within the scope of the allocated work to transport passengers safely to their destinations. The Bus Operator is responsible for driving the assigned vehicle in a safe, legal and professional manner, provides high standard customer service to passengers, maintains the integrity of the schedule, inspects the vehicle before and after use, and communicates effectively with the public and departmental staff. Additional responsibilities include adhering to safety protocols, maintaining a professional appearance, and being available to work shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Requirements

Must have a Bermuda driver's license and possess a citation free driving record. Three years of driving experience is a requirement. Must have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English with basic Math skills; basic reading comprehension and writing skills are imperative. Must be physically fit and free of any medical issues that could hinder performance.
