Reporting to the Fidelis Insurance Bermuda Limited Financial Controller, the Technical Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the underwriting close process for New Underwriting Partnerships including the monitoring, review and processing of all underwriting data, oversee all aspects of deliverables from outsourced services providers including the monitoring of adherence to service level agreements, prepare analysis and presentations of quarterly financial results, and maintaining Sarbanes-Oxley processes and controls.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years' post qualification experience with 3 years relevant industry experience and technical expertise within re/insurance accounting. Previous experience working with actuarial and underwriting functions and senior management. Previous experience working with Sarbanes-Oxley controls. Strong working knowledge of reinsurance and insurance contract terms and structures and detailed knowledge and experience of US GAAP for insurance accounting. Knowledge of relevant accounting software (Oracle, HFM, SAP Concur and Workiva preferred). Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
